Make This Year Count!

At the beginning of a new year it is natural to look back on the past year to reflect on all that has occurred, as well as to look forward to hope, dream, and make goals and plans. In fact, not only is this a natural time to pause and think but it is an important step to take! Scripture even provides times where God brings his people to a point where they look out, figuratively or in actuality, to cast their gaze forward upon what God has in store for them.

Part of this important process is a engaging with a self assessment. Looking inwardly to see how one might grow, improve, and become more like Jesus. After doing that, it is vital to then make the decisions to become that person, aligning with the work of the Spirit in our lives. What if becoming the person you want to be stats long before the moment you make a decision? Before you click “buy”, before you take one more bite, or before you lash out at the people you love.
