we are incredibly grateful for many who have come before

Serving, Praying, Giving, Loving our Spring Valley Church and its community for the Lord. Without them, we would not be here today.

WALTER & MARIAN JOHN

Walter and Marian John have been a key part of the Spring Valley Church family since its very early days. They have supported Spring Valley in countless ways over the years, but the most significant area of support came in the area of prayer.

Walter John was a World War 2 veteran who became a railroad man where he worked either directly for the railroad or it's Union until his retirement in 1988.

As much as Walter loved the railroad. he had afar greater passion for the Church, the Gideon's ministry and Prayer.

Walter served as Church treasurer for multiple churches over the years, always ready to pull out the "church books" kept in small notepad in his front shirt pocket. He also served many years as a Gideon, raising money and passing out countless bibles for that noble cause.

Regardless of the capacity he served, Walter was quick to go to the Lord in Prayer for the issues in his life and even quicker to go before the Lord for anyone who needed it.

Walter faithfully went to be with the Lord on October 20th, 2012.
